HAPS is an international organization open to anyone interested in Anatomy & Physiology Education. The organization includes over 1,700 members from a variety of backgrounds and locations.

Focus On Anatomy & Physiology

The mission of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) is to promote excellence in the teaching of anatomy and physiology.

Mission is accomplished by:

Promoting and supporting the development of instructional and assessment resources for anatomy and physiology educators.

Promoting continuing education in anatomy and physiology for HAPS members.

Promoting and facilitating camaraderie, communication and collaboration among human anatomy and physiology educators as well as those in related disciplines.

Promoting and organizing professional development programs related to the teaching of human anatomy and physiology.

Providing publication and/or communication opportunities for educational research, instructional tools and recent developments that are related to anatomy and physiology education.

Fostering relationships with organizations and individuals that have shared interests.

President’s Medals

The President’s medal is an award that recognizes a HAPS member who has provided exemplary service to HAPS. The recipient of the award is chosen by the current HAPS President and  is announced at the Annual General Membership Meeting.
