HAPS-I Credits & Fees

Credits:

A&P professionals who successfully complete HAPS Institute (HAPS-I) courses can choose to receive graduate level (600 level) biology credit through through Alverno College. Alverno is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  Courses may also be taken for Professional Development at a reduced cost.

Our courses typically require preliminary guided reading and/or discussion assignments, participation in-group activities and online discussions, and creation/review/publication of a small teaching module. See the individual course descriptions and proposed syllabi for more information. You can expect about 15 or more hours of coursework for every unit of graduate credit.

Fees:
Course fees include Alverno College processing and enrollment fees – there are no extra charges for academic credit. Because credits for HAPS-I courses are awarded by Alverno College, your grades, student records, and transcripts are managed by Alverno College (and not by HAPS). Our HAPS member course fees are $725 per semester credit hour. Our non-member course fees are $925 per semester credit hour.

Professional Development:
If you choose a non-credit professional development option, you will not have a record with Alverno and you will not receive graduate credit.  These courses are prices according to the graduate credits available for the course and are $375 per credit hour for members and $575 per credit hour for non-members.
