All About HAPS Educator

The HAPS Educator is the open-access, peer-reviewed journal of HAPS. It publishes articles relevant to A & P Instructors under three categories: Educational Research, Teaching Perspectives or Current Topics. We welcome submissions from HAPS members and non-members, and there are no submission or publication fees. Please see the submission guidelines for more information.

The HAPS Educator began in 1987 as an annual, 2-page, black and white print newsletter delivered by the postal service to HAPS members. It has since evolved into a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that is indexed in the Education Resources Information Center (ERIC). The HAPS Educator publishes three regular issues per year and one or more special issues focusing on a particular topic. Please follow this link to access earlier editions of the HAPS Educator.

Submission Guidelines

The HAPS Educator is published three times per year (spring, summer and winter). Submissions are welcome at any time. Please follow this link to access the detailed instructions for preparing your submission. Following those guidelines carefully will facilitate the processing of your manuscript.

Review for the Educator

We are always seeking new reviewers for the HAPS Educator. We provide new reviewers with training, and ask for a commitment of up to two articles reviews per year. In addition to providing a critical service both to the journal and the authors, participating in the peer review process can strengthen your CV and help you become a better writer. Please reach out to the editor-in-chief jcarnegie@hapsconnect.org to be added to the Reviewer panel.
